Readers we had in mind

Oceanview is for anyone whose trip lands them in a resort with a casino attached and who cares more about the hotel half of the building: bedrooms, pool deck, restaurants, and whether the surrounding country is within reach. Five lenses were applied to each property: room quality and choice, leisure facilities, location and transport, suitability for different kinds of trip, and how clearly the hotel explains its extra charges.

Ownership: None of the ten hotels belongs to the company behind this guide, and no property paid to appear. The running order reflects our own editorial view of each stay.

Check availability at Lasseters Hotel Casino (official site, opens in a new tab)
More details

Questions readers ask

Is oceanviewcasinoresort a hotel I can stay at?

No. Despite the name, this is a guide. oceanviewcasinoresort.com is a travel guide; it is not a hotel or casino and takes no bookings. Every reservation is made directly with the property or a booking service you choose.

When is the best season for these trips?

It depends heavily on the destination. Central Australia is most comfortable in the cooler months, Tasmania rewards summer touring, and the desert resorts in Nevada are fiercely hot in mid-summer. Each entry carries a short seasonal note.

Which airport serves each hotel, and how do I reach the door?

We give the nearest airport and the usual way in, but shuttles change. Ask the hotel directly whether a transfer runs on your dates and what it costs.

Can an 18-year-old hold the room key?

Not always. In Nevada a 21-year-old minimum for the lead guest is widespread; Australian properties set their own thresholds. Ask the front office about age and accepted ID before departure.

Will I pay fees on top of the room rate?

Possibly. Daily resort fees, parking, and card deposits are common, especially in Las Vegas. Ask what is included in the price you are quoted.

Are these hotels suitable for children?

Several are family-friendly, but some areas are adults-only and pool rules vary. The comparison grid gives a rough guide; check the details with each hotel.

Do you own any of these hotels?

None of the ten hotels belongs to the company behind this guide, and no property paid to appear. The running order reflects our own editorial view of each stay.

How the ten were chosen

We started from a long list of hotels attached to casino resorts and kept those that offer something worth booking for besides the gaming area: a garden, a river, a spa, a landscape, or a strong city location. Facilities were checked against the hotels' own websites and recent public listings in October 2026. Where sources disagreed, we left the detail general and suggest asking the hotel.

We hand out no marks and invent no figures. The order reflects editorial judgement about the breadth of the leisure offer and how useful the location is for exploring. No hotel paid for a place, and the publisher owns none of them.

Some outbound links may be affiliate links. If a booking follows, we may receive a commission, which does not affect the placings. More on that on the How we are paid page.
